n55 flash tuning delema

I am debating on waiting for mhd to release the tune for the f10 or going with bootmod3 for more since they are already out and mhd has been prolonging release for a while. (also I am horribly impatient). but I'm not sure of the major differences between them other than price and release date. I would love some input from the gurus on here
TIA

I am on the same boat; MHD is dragging their feet with the tune. I have also been contemplating on getting the newly released AA tune but there is just not enough information out there about it.

i've seen that pop up but I'm not even sure of the cost. I wasn't sure if what I was seeing was even for the n55. they told me 10 days on monday. so I figure if it's not out in a few days I'll probably just go with the bm3

I've flashed a dozen N55, N63, S63 cars with Mission Performance tunes as of late. My own 535i and X3 35i included.

There is nothing better out there for you with regards to direct OBD flashes. If you're after performance at a cheaper price so be it, but you won't find better product quality or end user support than what you'll get with MissionPerformance

If you wanted to drive down to Houston it could be flashed this weekend.

Mission Performance is based out of California. I install a lot of their performance flashes, its done via OBD now. No need for the DME to be removed anymore.

Can you explain the difference between the mp tune vs jb4? I went on the link you provided and it doesn't show any increase in hp/torque? (Sorry I'm new to this)

Mission Performance flashes the factory ECU directly, and does not rely on a piggyback unit (JB4) to intercept and manipulate the signals the ECU receives to fool it into operating outside its own oversight.

Mission Performance standard N55 flashes are as follows:

Stock Stage 1 Stage 2
Horsepower 302hp 350hp 365hp
Torque 295lb-ft 380lb-ft 400lb-ft

More is obviously possible with supporting modifications and a upgraded turbocharger.

I'm in the ~450hp/tq range now and I'm all out of HPFP. I'm getting ready to roll out the next stage of my upgrade that will support 600hp/tq without relying on port injection.

The stock trans can handle this? What about engine longevity? Is more than 91 octane required/needed?

Thats one of the best parts of having a proper flash tune like MP provides. Transmission parameters can be manipulated to increase line pressure and yes it will handle it. I've not had any issues what so ever and I've been tuned for almost 20k daily miles.

At normal stage 1 or 2 levels I sincerely doubt there is any engine longevity reduction.

93 is on the pump everywhere in Texas, later model N55's with the BOSCH HPFP will run out of pump before octane, and you'll run out of stock turbo long before you run out of stock HPFP.

Just join the MHD beta.

Who's to say that one brand's beta isn't better than another's "release"?

It's solid.

That's the issue. The highest we have here in the PRK is 91.

91 octane Komradeville gasoline is fine. Niether the stage 1 or stage 2 flash tunes are near the limits of octane, the stock turbo runs out of cooch factor long before that.

You can do all the same with MHD final release. I am in the Beta and it is great so far. I rather have them take their time and test the crap out of it than go direct to market with something that is not complete or good. I waited over a year just for the MHD for F-Series to come out. Martial has been excellent with support and answering all the difficult and dumb questions we throw at him.
