Clear coat on paint scratches like butter.

My clear coat scratches so easily its ridiculous. Anyone have that issue? I'm very careful when I wash my car and I keep it in the garage. Paint code B09 Dark Graph Metallic II.

It's not only you, this is endemic to most modern clear coats. However, I need to qualify your statement. They resist scratching very well, but easily get swirls and micromarring that is visible only in the sun and under certain lighting conditions. Have you looked into Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0?

No I haven't. Is that something the dealer does to the car?

Forget the dealer, they are morons when it comes to paint correct and appearance care. You have to do some hunting for people who will do it. It's a permanent coating. Learn more here:

no, but unless you've done it before, I wouldn't try it on a brand new F10 as your first try. It's not as easy as it looks on the intraweb.

Zaino is no different than any other waxes or polish. Opti-Coat 2.0 is a permanent coating. The car need to be prepped first and you can't do that by hand. Swirls, micromarring and paint defects need to be removed by a DA or Rotary.
