Took me about 10 mins to install, and most of that time was trying to get my finger in the back of the plug to depress it. After that it was a breeze.

Took it for a test drive after, all I can say is, it's a good thing I have an X drive.

Just installed this last night. Has a bigger day to day improvement than BMS Stage 1, or changing stock wheels to 343 M5 forged wheels/ditching run flat. Car always felt sluggish at the throttle. Install would recommend using your pinky to get the inside clip.

Glad you guys are finding the same joy i am with this mod. How are more people not raving about this? It is pricey for a throttle mod, but worth it in that it unleashes all of your motors potential immediately. Even more so when tuned.

Dunno when it happened, but they have launched a v3 Booster. Now instead of a discrete little light, it has a giant controller. And there are apparently 9 levels of adjustability to the modes. Seems like far more than would ever be required. Now I will have to track down a v2 somewhere.

For some models it shows both the v2 and v3 option, but when you go to the 5 Series section it only shows v3.

Is there truly a manual only version?

Personally I don't see why the pedal connection would be different between an auto and a manual. Check realoem part numbers

I know, but I'm saying i don't think the part number on a throttle pedal for our cars is different therefore the SB part number for a manual or auto is irrelevant.

Guys

I thought the same thing, that there should be no difference between the Auto version SB and the Manual version.

I tried both and the Manual version is definitely sharper than the Auto model.
It was way to jumpy on the highest setting [ Red Light ] which is where I like to have it set on.

I would not recommend the Manual version for an Automatic trans application.

Just installed the v2 and ran through all the setting in comfort and sport. Along with my BMS intake and JB4, comfort in green mode should be perfect for daily driving.

I do a good bit of highway driving to get to work and would usually have to throw it in sport mode but switch the tranny into manual and use the paddles. This would allow me to sit in M8 while cruising but give me better throttle input with it being in sport (manual because while cruising, sport keeps it in 7th gear). Now I'm pretty sure I can just chill with it in comfort/green and be good to go. We'll find out Monday morning but loving the feel of it already!

Please explain why you would not recommend the manual version for an automatic trans because in your first post back in 01/16 of this thread you said that both is the same and you had a manual version from a 3 series in your car and it ran fine. Niw you're kinda contradicting your statement by saying you would not recommend the manual for an auto application.

I'm also used to driving in sport before installing the SB but this morning I left it in comfort with the SB in green and it was perfect for the commute. Loving this little mod.
