Do we have to activate this on our own? My 2012 535 only pulls the chair back.. I want steering to move as well..

How do you get this to work? How do your seats move back… could you please clarify?

Yeah, you do have to activate it but I can't remember how. iDrive maybe?

But like everyone else is about to ask, how do you get the seat to move back? Mine doesn't do that either

Depending on its position, it will automatically go up. The wheel has to be at a certian down position for it to go up automatically when you shutoff the car

My steering column only tilt up if the steering position is below a certain level. Does steering column retract?

I hate to bring up an old post, but I just picked up my 2013 535i and I cannot for the life of me figure out this setting... I can move the steering wheel up, down, forward, back, but when I open the door it just stays put! Doesn't move up at all when I turn off ignition/open door... I don't know if it matters, but I also have the M-sport package with the thicker wheel.

With the ignition on, move the steering wheel all the way down to its lowest position, for example.

Now, turn off the ignition (motor). Open the door. The steering wheel moves up.
