Body Kit & Dual Exhaust on 520d
Hello there (new member here)
I wish to know if any of you here tried to buy M / M5 Body Kit and then install it on your F10? Example: Ebay Link to M5 Body Kit What would be the benefits to this variant? As far as I know it's cheaper to get a M/M5 Body Kit instead of buying the car with it already installed. I know there's plenty work to do in either case, but by and large I think it's cheaper this way. There are also the costs for painting and installing. What I'm interested to know is if the material from which is made is of any quality? Will I have problems in the future? How many hours does it take to install this M5 Body Kit on a F10 Vehicle? Is it difficult? -- Another question, I've seen a YouTube clip and I'm sure it's possible to make dual exhaust on a 520d F10. Have you done this modification where there's only single exhaust? Is it very costly? Is there enough room, or do I need to change all exhaust? How difficult is the entire process? YT Video: I'm asking this because I want to start make these modifications as soon as I get my 520 / 525d F10. Hoping this year to buy the car Thank you! |

I've just ordered 4x90mm Supersprint exhaust for my F11 520d. The total cost including M5 rear diffuser, parts from BMW, the exhaust system and the installation is about 3500 euro. You could proabably get a custom exhaust a bit cheaper in Germany I guess.
Regarding the other parts, I'd rather buy a BMW with the M-sport package. I bought mine (incl. M-sport) in Stuttgart just a few months ago, and as far as I can see, you will not be able to save anything on buying a non M-sport and then converting it to a M-sport instead of just buying a BMW with M-sport in the first place. Good luck! |

Yes. Just buy the car with the M-sport package. Much easier and less costly when you add all the time and money it would take.
