BMS JB, help me identify this tune/box

My brother in law just returned his 2014 550ix & had this tune. He gave me the boxes but I'm wondering why he had 2 boxes installed? I opened both and they are both exact with boost controls built on.

He said he had 1 on the Left side & 1 on the Ride side.... kinda confused

He gave them to me disconnected, I just connected them for picture reasons.

So the 550ix is a Twin turbo? He said he used both units on each side

I have a X5 LCI w/ BMW stage1 & sprintbooster throttle control. So I have NO need for these units

ALSO, he has a sprintbooster unit for the 550ix which will be in my hands in the next few days
