F10 550i Motor mounts ?

Hey guys took the 550i to do some maintenance and downpipes install. Found out my oil pan was leaking so thats getting fixed, but while in there they noticed that one of my motor mounts was shredded up, part is like 130$.

Im just curious if anyone has had it happen to them ? or even notice anything different.
I never noticed much difference except some quick rough idles but figured that was just the shitty injectors lol, but hopefully this will make my car feel a bit less jerky or smoother ? lets hope so !

Motor mounts should help smoothen it out a bit. The mount is just basically a big rubber bushing that absorbs vibration and flex from the torque of the engine. Depending on how bad it is, it can allow almost all of that vibration to travel through the mounting bolt/stud and you'd feel it. If it's bad enough the engine mount arm could be resting on something it isn't intended to as well.

I haven't, but now that you mention it I have a bit of shake at idle. When I do my shocks next weekend I'll check them out.
