New F10 Owner

Hello everyone!Just picked up a 2012 CPO Jet Black 535i 3 weeks ago and I'm loving this thing more than words can say. Plan to do a few mod's in the hunt for wheels now and I have H&R springs arriving this week.

So far I have done the normal comsmetic mods: Dual Slatt Grill in gloss black, black side markers, painted/smoked reflectors, tint, spoiler.

Where did you get the dual slot grills and black side markers? I've been thinking of changing mine out too.

Got them off Ebay, both were US sellers. Grill was $124 and side markers were about $50.

Yeah Im so happy with the way that turned out, I was worried gloss would not look right but it turned out perfect!

Finding it pretty hard to find a place that will install the springs in my area that doesnt want to charge $800 plus so taking a little longer to get this thing to where i wanted!

No, that was just labor and alignment. However I remember an old Friend that has a shop on the north side of down that does all kinds of this stuff and it was around $400 there + alignment so I just did it since didn't seem i was going to find a better deal in the area.

Here are some "after" shots! Now just trying to decide on wheels!

Looks good. I just got a 2013 535i and have been considering the H&R springs as the car seems pretty floaty coming from an E90 with sport suspension. Which ones did you get? H&R offers OE Sport springs #50472-55 and Sport springs #28947-1. Did you measure before and after to see how much it lowered it?

The H&R website says the OE Sport springs lowers 1" and the Sport springs lowers it about 1.4" but they do not say if that is measured from a non-sport or M-sport suspension to start with... I am not interested in lowering it too much, just firming up the ride and improving the handling, but I don't want to put on the OE sport if that is basically the same height as the M-sport suspension...

Wow, she's a beauty. The black is stunning. I had a black on black Acura MDX about 14 years ago and I used to say that it was gorgeous the 15 minutes it was clean.

Love the black grill, just added it to mine.

Congrats, keep us posted on the upgrades!

I got the Sport springs, 28947-1. When I got this car i fell in love with how smooth it was and I was terrified at the thought of lowering it and what would happen to the ride quality. I read countless post here and everyone seemed happy so I bit the bullet, I remember the day they were getting installed thinking was I making a mistake and well it was the best decision I ever made with this car, it handles like it's in sport mode all the time and it still rides very smooth, in fact most of my car buddies say they would never think it's lowered by the ride quality. Go for it!!!

Today my new wheels and tires showed up so in pretty excited to get those put on in a few weeks once the weather is a little better and Ohio pot holes are not everywhere! But there is a side of me nervous about the ride quality again here is a few teaser shots.
