2014 navi update on 2012-13?

Has anybody updated their navi to 2014 on the 2012-13 cars? If yes is there a difference than the older version besides road updates.

Meaning is the color display different..

Please post a pic if possible thanks

I have a new 2014 535. The Nav colors really suck in my opinion if this is what you are asking.

The streets are grey and the lanscape is dark grey / black. Using the "alternative color" setting does nothing. It is very hard to see. I rented a KIA that has a better nav system, my wifes Touareg is way better too. I have searched the bmw website, googled, and have found no way to change the color.

I am not happy with the BMW Nav system, in fact I was not going to order it. However, the 2014 it is not an option. You get it whether you want it or not, I don't want it. Give me an ipad mini and waze and my life is good. BMW Nav engineers need to get out of thier office more.

Map updates only update data, not graphics. Nav firmware/hardware update graphics.

I do have it in traffic mode...I guess I need to choose between colors or traffic information. Still a "fail". Love BMW's, this is my third one. Still horrible Nav compared to the market.
