Hello folks!
Planning to DIY this project sometime soon.
How high is the risk of coolant/oil contamination?
I am planning to do oil change next day. But my coolant is fresh after water pump project

I noticed that FCP suggests replacing all the bolts and oil sensor in their kit:

Yet, haven't really seen that many writeups/videos with all of the additional stuff.
I was planning to replace the serpantine belt as well.
What would you guys recommend?

Check your belt tensioner and pulley(s), replace as necessary, be sure to check if you have adaptive drive or not as they are different belt sizes.

100% replace the bolts. They are TTY (torque to yield). Meaning they stretch to do their job. Any and all aluminum bolts need to be replace once removed. Use a magnet if you are unsure of their composition.

I don't think there is huge chance of oil and coolant contamination. There will be some coolant spill when coolant hose disconnected from OFH unless you remove some of the coolant to lower coolant level. In that case you want to purp the cooling system.

I would replace hardware on OFH but not on heat exchanger. Be mindful of what type of heat exchanger you have because the hardware for it are different.

proper torquing of hardware is very important. replacing Mickey mouse coolant flange is recommended while you are in there.
Oil priming is very critical for this job. Therefore remove fuel pump fuses, run the engine till it dies and then proceed to the task.

Thank you all for all the input!
So I think the flange is this item:

What do you guys think about Elring vs Mahle for gaskets?

Also, I was thinking skipping replacement of Oil Pressure sensor and intake manifold gasket(does one need to be removed for this DIY?)

That is it! Iirc you do have to remove the intake manifold. Gaskets… I have skipped replacing them in the past however for how cheap they are I would lean towards doing it. Other sensor can be skipped since you can replace it easily if need be.

One word of caution for the flange: invest in a higher quality o-ring, for example from mcmaster carr. Mine flattened out and hardened almost immediately and started seeping coolant. Ended up sealing the flange face with RTV, but a good quality o-ring is a better fix.
