Not sure if its similar in the USA, but mine folds if you hold the lock button on the fob for a few seconds when locking.

I must admit this interests me too. My 2010 E70 X5 was the same; you had to press the button on the armrest to fold them in/out (although they will automatically fold out when you exceed 30kmh/h). Still I'd like to also know if anyone's found a setting that will auto-fold them in when you park & shut the ignition off. That should be simple (you'd think) for a Beemer.

I believe this is an option in Europe that is not available in the US. However, it is possible to code the car and add this option. Take a look here: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=619819

All that can be coded is to close the mirrors from the Comfot Acess door ridges or the Key Fob. There is no way that has been found to code them to close on Park or Shut Off.

Yeah, I think that's a very convenient way to do it...and sort of fun too...

In the U.S. it has to be coded. Same as with closing the windows and sunroof from Comfort Access Ridges or the Fob.

the way the mirros works is also slightly different depending on how you activate them
If you use the bitton on the door, they close when you press and the button and only open again the next time you press the button again.
If you use the keyfob to lock and car and key the key depressed an dthe mirrors close, next time you open the car, the door mirrors automatically opne at that point.
