Just out of interest is there anything that can be done with the comfort access BMW have had my car for a number of days trying to figure why its not working. Apparently they have now put a "Puma" request to BMW Germany as there is no obvious reason why its stopped working. They have checked through the system and replaced key fobs but still no answer to the problem????

A really big "thank you" to gspannu for today!

Met up with him and a couple of other guys from this forum to watch him code their F10. He clearly knew what he was doing and was able to make all the modifications that were wanted in 45 mins. Had a good chat with him afterwards and I'm telling you that this guy is a BMW expert (yet very humble about it) if ever I've met one! And I don't just mean from a coding perspective either. Loads of insight in to ownership, purchasing, BMW Corp inner workings, BMW Dealerships, car operations, etc....

All in all in thoroughly enjoyable and informative afternoon!!!

Hi gspannu,

Following our conversation Saturday will a BMW software update do anything to the coding we done?? Only the "Puma" report came back from Germany saying perform software updates regarding my comfort access which they are going to do tomorrow

I really doubt it, unless they recode the whole module(s) we modified. Very unlikely that anything should change.

On the other hand, maybe your car does get the latest software updates and we may be able to code a few more things.

Let the dealer fix your car first, the 'comfort access' issues.

If required, I can help you sort out the coding over the telephone (using your laptop)

Great news. Just another confirmation that Coding is not detectable to dealerships. Glad everything is working for you.

Could you please confirm if the Parking Brake auto release is working or not?

Hi. I'm new to all this coding lark and hoping to start coding some of the usual stuff next week.

I have an F25 but gspannu mentioned that this is a good thread for UK based coding although it's for F10.

I have my cable and the software from Shawn (thanks!).

Where to I get a token?

One of the more unusual things I'm hoping to code is the "removal" of the front active headrests. I would like to put in DVD headrests as I had them in my old X5 and definitely keep the kids quiet on long trips to France! Does anyone know if you can code the car so it thinks the car never had active headrests?
