Seat, Steering Wheel, Mirror memory

For some reason the key fob I use will adjust the seat, steering wheel and mirrors when I push unlock. I have those setting saved in M2. My wife's key fob will not do this. Her settings are saved in M1 and she has to push the 1 button to adjust everything after I drive the car. Her key fob won't call up any of her settings. It is a 2011 535xi with Nav, but not comfort access. Any tips to make her fob work like mine?

Reset profile

You can try resetting the profile on the key fob - it might be corrupted.

Use the door button to set up correctly, go to Settings in the iDrive menu, select Profiles, then Reset Profile. Get out of the car, lock using the fob, and it should rewrite the profile.

There is no direct link between a key fob and a profile.

It is an indirect link.

Whatever seat position and profile that happens to set at the time you lock the car is saved to the fob index.

So, you need to set your settings. Then lock the car with your fob.

Next unlock the car with wife's fob and set her settings. Lock the car with her fob.

Now, everything is set. If this does not work, make sure "last seat position auto" is checked off in settings.
