I'm not sure I would have paid $2k to upgrade HIDs. I guess when you don't have good information, you don't make good decisions.

For those who are interested:

The replica LCI headlights are on eBay. $1700

Make sure you order the correct ones (whether your stocks are Halogen or Xenon) and you'll need to code out the adaptive lights if you have it.

I personally think they look good, but not worth the price as an upgrade from my Xenons. If I had halogens, I'd probably do it.

I've read there is very little difference between the LEDs and the Xenons...

these are for halogen, grab the xenons if your car requires them

quick note though:

they are difficult to code. it's plug and play for the day time lights and turning signal. but for the night time, high beam and amber light on the side, it seems a bit more time consuming. once i get those working, i'll post more pics or vids.

these lights are circulating all over on the internet and i've had a hard time finding information on them. so i'm helping best as i can. if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

lastly, although the ebay page linked has these @ 1700, he will accept 1600--and you can find them on alibaba for ~1400.

Do you have adaptive lights? A member over at the M5 forums had a set and all he did was code out the adaptive headlights VO and everything worked fine for him.

Light color is very noticeable between LED and Xenon headlights, I have 1 equipped with LED and 1 equipped with Xenon, LED is much much whiter, and every time when i switch car from LED to Xenon, it always makes me thought that I have halogens because the light output on the ground looks so yellowish

And here I completely disagree with you.

I switch between 5 series one with xenon one with LED and drive 2 different F30s with LEDs.

Can't tell ANY difference between all 4 cars.

LEDs are now standard on the G30 and paying extra $$$ for them otherwise is a waste of money IMO.

Yes, the car looks so much better with LEDs when the lights are off. That I agree with.

You DID have Xenons. That's what other forum members have noticed. If you want to check for yourself, go to bmwvin.com and plug your VIN in. You should see that your car had option code S522 (Xenon Lights).

The headlight that whitefives posted a picture of are Xenon headlights (posted below). The "honeycomb" on his headlights are what distinguish it as Xenon lights.

These are what halogens look like:

He said he googled the picture of the white f10 with the xenons and that he does have halogen.

I just want to know if he successfully coded them in that way I could buy them.

Hopefully he decides to hop back on the forum!
