525d remap/tuning box
hi, i have a march 2011 525d and was interested to know if the car can be remaped/chip tuned.
after reading a few post's i find that the 8 speed auto box in the car is rated for a max 500nm of torque and the 530d is 700nm. does anyone know if this is correct? has anyone also remaped their 525d? |

Are you sure? I'm considering hartge tuning for my 525d and they say it's well within limits. With hartge you get 535NM and about same numbers with ACS. Doubt they will be outside the tolerance.. Anyone can confirm?

Last replay in 2011.. time to revive this thread. =)
I have been looking at a engine remaping for my 525d 6cyl that bring the original 204hp/450Nm to 300Hp/620Nm. I have the 8HP45 transmission. What will happen to the transmission with that mutch torque ? And can it at least handle 550 Nm? if I run into a cheap 8HP70 transmission, is it possible to upgade my car to a 8HP70 transmission ? |
