Thanks for the reply. I actually asked the dealer for that option and was told I need to have USAA membership.. So I guess I ll pass that option but go with the Team USA credit for 1000. So far, the price is invoice and I plan on trading in one car to cut the tax down so I may get more room for price for maybe one more package to add, I'm thinking...luxury seating, but don't know if it's worth the money (not a big fan of the massage seat).

Your dealer is not being very honest with you, I would confront them on that or go to another dealer. The USAA credit is different from the option credit, here is a link with the info:

Do you mind if I ask for your price sheet so I may take it to my dealer for a bargain?
I am in the Northeast, I think it might be too far for you to travel here to buy the car. My car invoice is around $59250, my dealer sold me the car at about $750 below invoice. Add on the $1500 BMW option credit, total cost is $57000, not including tax, doc fee and reg.
Did your dealer include the $1500 option credit when he said he can sell you the car at invoice, if so, thats not a good deal, since the real price is $1500 above invoice.
What dealer? I'm in the northeast!

I just ordered a 528i in Honolulu (moving there in July) for invoice with the USAA incentive. I didn't even know abou the option incentive. Anyone think I can call (I live in Washington state currently) and try and get the option credit added to my car deal? I ordered the car yesterday.

Just saw it,thanks so much. I talked to couple more dealers and the specific config that I need will take 3 weeks to arrive...

Do you think invoice - 2500 credits is a good deal? I plan on trading in one car so I can cut the tax down a bit (it's 9.3%here).

Why don't you talk to a leasing company and just get these discounts packed in?

Because leasing doesnt make sense for everybody and its definitely not cheaper, unless one can write it off in their taxes.

lol. most leasing companies can finance and purchase for you. cheaper than we could on our own.

im looking at purchasing a new car, and it is noticeably cheaper going through them than a dealer.

Yes, if you are an novice at negotiating for a new car, then using a leasing company is cheaper. Just keep in mind, adding another middle man is almost always more expensive, the leasing company has to make a profit too. With that said, BMW have very good leasing rate. I have done both calculation between leasing and buying. In the end, buying makes more sense for me.

If you are talking about bypassing the dealer and lease straight from a leasing company, then I dont have any experience in that. I would think a dealership would stand behind their product better if something goes wrong.

car is still purchased from a dealership (you can request which).

at which point, you are still treated as if you were any other person that had leased through bmw or their partners.

my point has been, that the rates from removing the dealer have been cheaper.
