You can use velcro to mount the unit. Unit is REALLY light weight compared to MS8 but it is 4X more powerful.

I went back and read a little more into this and I'll do some more homework on this. I like it but I was trying to avoid the whole labtop interface and such and the MS-8 looks to be a bit more user friendly.

System Sounds Like it is Top Quality!

Hi,
I have a 2011 535i, M-Sport. I had wanted to upgrade my stereo which I believe is the premium version (it has full equalization and surround?). Did you have an installer do the work you had done on your 535i? I want to change out the subs under the seat, add the MS-8, and possibly the door speakers. What kind of pricing would you put on those items and what is a reasonable installation price?

If anyone else wants to chime in, I am always wary of custom stereo installers. How do you know how to find one that can handle an F-10 setup with quality results. Thanks!

I honestly did everything myself. Parts required for me were technic wiring harness to connect factory connector to JBL MS8. Tuned the speakers with MS8. Then connected output rca ch6/7 to input on my kicker d class amp. Unbolted front seat only four bolts holding them. Unplugged factory subs and installed sws 8xi. Ran speakers wires all the way to the trunk into the kicker amp. Hiding wires is very easy no issues at all. I left the sub grills off as I was afraid sws would rub onto them. I very often check under seats to make sure there is nothing stuck under there that could damage speakers.

I love the results. Overall amazing quality. I had base hifi 676 now if u have premium I think your mids and highs are gonna be better anyways and Extra bass will even sound better in your car. One thing I will change in future is front tweeters door and center apart from tht nothing else.

R these the subs u went with? Also...where did u tap in for power and remote for ur kicker amp? Did u have to run an inline fuse?

Yes but I got 8xi model as they are more efficient and better suited for hifi sound system.

Power and ground I connected directly to battery and remote from ms8 remote out. I used a 65amp inline fuse. Thx

Appreciate the feedback! do u know if the ms-8 remote is labeled or did u have to refer to the owners manual? So basically u just tapped into the remote wire from the ms-8 like this "T" with connectors.

Remote doesn't have any text but very easy to use self explanatory. The buttons have the icons they represent.

Also I didn't tap Ms8 remote in as ms8 has a remote out as well which I used for kicker amp really convenient.

We created a bracket for it and a professional tune. What OEM sound system do you have?

That's awesome to hear! I think I have the hifi? Front doors/tweeters... center speaker and rear shelf speakers. Only adjustments I have on the display is treble, bass, fade. Wish I had eq settings but I don't.

I've got an F10 with HiFi and interested in the MS-8 or

The Bimmertech solution. From what I read there is a bracket now made for the F10?

That is correct! Also this amp has a bit more power than the MS-8

You might want to take advantage of our group buy. It ends tomorrow.

Ahhh.. Anyone have a recommendation on upgrading the OEM HK amp? I don't have the HIFI as I originally thought.

Side note: I have the BAV Subs on preorder!

Hi
I'm driving a F10 with Base Stereo. I'm looking for an inexpensive upgrade of the speakers without adding an external amplifier. The Bavsound Stage 1 will be too expensive after import to Denmark.

I've been thinking of OEM Top HiFi speakers including tweeters in the front doors and the parcel shelf, or MB Quartz QM200.3 BMW (front doors and underseat woofers).

My questions are whether it can be done without adding an external amplifier, and which option will offer the best and the most dynamic sound?
