Yes they are tinted but it's so faint you can't really tell. What does happen though is that when you add a certain tint to it; there is an multiplying affect. So the exact same tint I got for another car with the same black interior looks darker on the F10. I got 35% tint on my car and I think it looks too dark. But it is what it is. You can look at my profile to see pics of the tinted car.

I'm taking my GT in to have it tinted with this new "nano technology" Solar Active Film. They claim 45% that drops to 35% as the sun intensity goes up for the sides and back and 80% (that goes to 75%) for the windshield. We'll see how it looks and holds up. FWIW DLM |

The car windows are UV coated for protection (so u see a slight tint). If you ever wear a transition glasses, you will notice the difference. My transition glasses turn dark like sun glasses on a bright sunny day or even a cloudy day, but it barely turn dark when I am in the car with sun light shining straight in my eyes because most UV are filtered out by the windows.

That's correct 75% is not really noticeable but if you are applying it over the stock windshield, which is tinted similar to sides (79%-81%) your total will be about 60% (+/-2%) and that is visible specially with dark interiors. Also keep in mind that most tint film even cheaper ones block 99% UV, you should pay more attention to Total Solar Energy Rejection values, and anything above 50% is considered good.
