playing music through bluetooth

playing music through bluetooth
Soon as I open my car and get in, my phone automatically connects via bluetooth. My music on phone plays but will only skip with a arrow button to the next track. Is there anyway this would show up in the idrive were I can browse and pick the track I want? Its really frustrating as I have over 300 tracks on my phone. My car is the business nav not pro.

Sorry, don't have an answer for you,.......
BUT, is yours an LCI model? Would quite like music over B/T, but I thought with business Nav it was a no no........now intrigued.. |

No my car isn't an lci. Could it be that I have enhanced bluetooth?

Poolie, I have the same, believe that is how it is on bluetooth, it plays what the phone plays. However with the ipod connection, I can sort A-Z, random etc, so it much easier. 3500 tracks here though so need it!!

Dont have the ipod connection with it being business media. Only have the poverty aux plug whats no good for nothing really. Surely theres some way of playing your music via external device were you can pick and choose what to listen to, instead of having to go through your phone or ipod or just skipping to the next track???

 Hi Poolie, apologies no help on the streaming. Could I ask if you have any pics of the black 19s though please and hiw they're holding up. Wife's mini has black alloys and what a god send! Just curious about what colours go well though on F10. Thinking black white and grey only.

You might want to research a snap in adaptor for your phone, this may give you more functionality over the music on your phone. I am going to get one for my S3, they are kind of steep at circa £130 though!

From what ive read all they do /snap adapters are charge your phone and give a better signal?

No on some models they give you access to your emails and messages, I think your right only on pro though

I can access my messages through the idrive but not emails. Can anyone tell me if my business media is enhanced? As others with business cant get there music through bluetooth. Might sound dumb asking but bought car second hand so go easy lol
