I bought the currency forward (set the rate) at the time of the purchase.
This is something you need to arrange with your bank. My company does that on a regular basis as we import products from Asia and cover our USD / JPY exposure. |

OP very nice car and smart move taking advantage of the exchange rates.
I know many already know this, but 528i I4 petrol here in the US (lowest model offered) starts at 49,600. Roughly equivalent to 35,542.21 euros. Plus our taxes are minimal compared to what you guys pay, basic sales tax in most states/property taxes. Gas guzzler tax for very inefficient cars (About $1300 on an M3). Not to brag about America, because I know there are other many things about Europe that I prefer to US, but the taxes and car prices over their are ridiculous.
