Andrew, so which company x-pipe do you prefer with eisenmann mufflers? I am planning to put x-pipe with out the resonator and eisenmann mufflers. So far I am not planning to put cat down pipe. Just planning for x-pipe and mufflers. One more question, the youtube clip you put on for the eisenmann race with silver car, did the guy change only the muffler or more? Thanks Andrew.

The silver car is equipped with just the Eisenmann Race rear muffler. We have yet to pair a x-pipe with the rear muffler section. Due to the fact that the the majority of Supersprint products are designed to be modular I imagine a good amount of custom work is required to fit their x-pipe with the Eisenmann.

I guess you get used to it. It's only been a couple of days. I kept the stock mufflers if I change my mind. I could always weld quad tips on them.

I really like it now. What I love the most is how it sounds at idle. Mean. Here's a quick video I took with my Flip video camera.

Sounds awesome! How much did you spend for the labor? For me, sounds almost similar sport and race. Can't tell the difference with the video clip only. Anyway enjoy it.

Is there a noticeable difference between the sport and race exhausts. With the limited number of videos for the 550i version, I can't tell.

This is for the sport system. In my experience the race is between a 15%and 25% increase in sound.

sound level value (db(A)) driving vehicle (at 50 km) = 75 db
sound level value (db(A)) stationary vehicle (3.750 rpm) = 77 db
Variation in backpressure (%) = - 5%

Well, I ordered the race exhaust for my 550i (F10), so I guess I'll find out soon enough.

What I'm hoping for (although, there is so much sound dampening in the F10s that I can't truly expect it) is a sound very similar to an C63 or CLS63 AMG Mercedes. Obviously, we are talking about different cars, but I love the sound they make at full throttle.

It may be another 2 weeks or so, before my exhaust makes it stateside. Looking forward to it.
