How can they still not have the 2014 5 Series on the configurator?? The BMW.ca site really is an embarrassment.

maybe BMW Canada still trying to unload the MY2013 that are sitting on dealers lots right now. No hurry for the MY2014 to show.

I think it is just simple incompetence on the part of the marketing / website team. Everything about that site is incredibly lame, particularly the java configurator.

A few people at BMW Canada head office have told me that the company is working on a complete overhaul of the BMW Canada website, which it desperately needs. I am rarely able to get the configurator to work, which means I have always had to go to the BMW USA website to build a car, which isn't very helpful to us Canadians given the differences in base options, etc, so I am only able to get a sense of what is available. How BMW thinks it is acceptable to have a lousy, mostly inoperable website for at least the last 5 years is beyond me! Hopefully the website overhaul will go live soon!

Website needs a lot of work. Owners manuals would be nice (available on BMWUSA) too. I also have trouble loading the configurator. At their rate of speed, 2015 will be available soon, bypassing 2014 altogether. Even the newspaper ads are for 2013 550s.

Still shows 2013 in the menu and now the configurator won't even load since it says Java is not installed (even though it is). Truly a train wreck of a website...

bmw.ca now shows the 2014 LCI configurator...it doesn't look like some options are accurate ( will not allow certain basic interior choices..dakota) when building a 2014, so give it some time.
One thing I noticed is you can choose the A/S or Perf tire package with the Msport.
Payment calculator not updated also..

Very interesting that it allows choice between performance RFTs and all season RFTs when selecting the M Sport package. As we all know, the Canadian ordering guide doesn't allow that option.

Even more interesting that they offer black nappa leather! which isn't available at all!

I think BMW needs to get its act together for the website. Outside of the configurator, the specs and pictures that they give for the 2014 year are actually those of the 2013 model.

Some other countries also have not updated for 2014 models.

As you may know, BMW Canada has made available on their website, Product guide
& order guides for some MY 2014. Note, they may not be the most recent. My Master Sales Rep at dealer has always given me the most recent ones in addition to the Internal Product Planning Guides.

Contract signed mid August. Production as per the Vehicle Inquiry Report is October. Yesterday dealer stated delivery is estimated early or mid December. I wanted Traffic Jam Assistant but was told it may be available in April despite "SOP 12/13". I did order Speed Limit Info but it required Special Order fee of $400.

They have been saying that for years. Doesn't work with mobile devices (iOS) nor with my iMac. Java is always a problem. Pretty lame.
