will the smell go away? how about hiding it with a trunk liner?

home depot + boom box carpet + oem trunk liner.

EVOLVE that's where I'm heading unless I can find a smashed F10 somewhere. Been looking for a salvage or parts car and no luck.. Just a bunch of old guys driving these things, I guess...!

There is not much too the trunk floor, you could probably take it out and soak it in something like simple green to try to remove the gear oil. What do you have to loose? If that fails, you can always cover with a trunk liner.
