535i Modding seems...Lacking

just picked up a 2011 535i

Came from an N54 335i and should have looked around more because it seems there's almost no aftermarket for the N55 F10.

I love the car, but, it seems that in order to get the same gains as my old JB4 I'm going to need an intake, exhaust, DP, and a N55 stage 2.

There also only seems to be a handful of each mod.

Definitely a different and more limited market.

I agree, I also came from the 335i to the F10 535i. I added the JB4 stage 2 however doesn't feel like a huge improvement. Also I don't see much more happening because BMS isn't looking to improve it. They're busy with the new M3/M4 and older N54 cars. Feel like I should of went with the 550i.

Its not a lack of support since you have Jb4 , catless DP available for max power.
The problem is that the N54 engine is more tuner friendly than the N55.
Jb4 adds 80-100 whp on a stock N54 car, while it only adds 40 - 50 whpon N55 stock car

The turbo is pretty much done in factory form after 5500 rpm so even with downpipe tune and full bolt on, all you're doing Is bringing the turbo on sooner, but it falls on its face at the same rpm every time. Save your money for a turbo wheel upgrade or complete turbo kit as bms is making some very impressive numbers with those! I did have a tuner on mine and it did make it more fun to drive with the turbo coming on harder, but you either have to shift early so the power doesn't tank or just understand that once you're moving, it's pretty much at stock power since once you shift out of first it will never drop low enough in the rpms again to get anywhere where you picked up power.
