535i M performance exhaust

Dear all, I'm writing from Italy.
The reason why I contact you, is that due to fiscal reason, in Italy 99% of the 5 serie is diesel engine (gasoline), while I'm one of the very few who bought a 535i...
And, I'm probably the only person in Italy who installed the M-Performance exhaust (in BMW they didn't know what I was asking...)
But I'm not satisifed at all of it.. Because it drone sooo much at 2000/3000 rpm, especially at cruise speed 130 km/h (the speed limit in italians highway).
I installed it few days ago, and I would like to ask you if it is normal and in the future it will disappear, or it will remain like this. Could you help me?
Thank you!
Ciao

The resonators may break in a bit, but louder exhaust tends to drone on any car around 2,000 rpm. Easy fix is manually downshift a gear so its not at that RPM, the permanent fix is have a muffler shop install a resonator in the center of the exhaust somewhere. The Magnaflow Magnapack mufflers work great for this and can be had for about $60 online, or the cheap way out is a glass pack style resonator which runs about $20, but on a BMW, id rather have a nice stainless magnaflow.

Thank you FenixMike! I will follow your suggestion of a Magnaflow.

I have the M Performance exhaust on my 535i as well. It does drone a bit below 2000 RPM. If you put the car is Sport Mode it keeps your RPM above 2000 and there is no drone. That is what I do 99% of the time.

But when I make a long trip it's more convenient to be in 8° gear.
