Just to clarify, I wasn't thinking of placing an "M5" emblem anywhere on my LCI 550. Just like BMW placed a "Luxury" badge on the Luxury line fender trim (see pic), I was thinking of doing something similar and placing the Euro M-Sport fender "M" emblem in this same spot if it fits. This would give the trim some purpose.

EZ, I believe I saw on Amazon an M badge that looks identical the Luxury badge above. Its rectangular and is 2.25 long by .5 inch wide. Get my car this week so can't tell ya if it would fit or not.

Amazing how much emotion a simple badge can generate!
I like the placement of the M badge underneath the chrome piece (that's where it is on mine), but it's your car dude. BTW, BMW also included the "M" insignia on my Alcantara/cloth seats (another 4 to add to the tally). These are the standard seats for the M Sport package in my neck of the woods (I think they look pretty cool). I hope you're not considering installing quad exhaust tips on your car, because that is only allowed for real \\\M cars And if someone looking at my car can't tell whether it's an M5 or an M Sport....... then I really don't know what to say. |

I have the 'fender' (in the UK we call them 'wings') badges on my UK spec 520d MSport and it came with them attached at delivery, to be fair, I would have never added them.......and I'm thinking of removing them as although the car has a few nice '///M' engineered bits, it's no M5 which is where i think these badges truly belong
In short, if they didn't come from BMW as OEM fitment, I'd leave well alone |

Once they moved the indicator to the side view mirrors, this piece should have been omitted completely, but I agree with you. At least this way it serves a purpose. I wish the entire thing was deleted even on pre-LCI models. What happened to the days of just having a sidemarker lamp; no trim, no fuss. Let the light serve it's purpose and be done with it.

I don't really like the small M badges that BMW are putting on the side of M Sport cars that are being produced now.
In my opinion, an M badge should be for M cars only.

Americans love badges all over the place! I don't think I've ever seen a real M car without the badge in the U.S. It's a different story in Europe

To the TS, i probably wouldn't put it there if your car has the 'Park Assist' feature (as the side sensor is located in that area). Don't know what the area tolerance is - I'm assuming that if they can stick the 'luxury' badge in the area, SHOULD be ok, but just be more conscious of where you put it.
As for the whole ///M debate - Having a M-Sport F10 LCI myself with the side fender '///M' badges, i can safely say that I wouldn't have stuck them on (given the option), but since the car came with them (logos on side fenders/door sills) i haven't bothered taking them off (read: laziness). It's not too in-your-face anyway (ie. front/rear bumper). DEFINITELY not as bad as a car i saw the other day - what must have been a 520i (with no kit whatsoever) with 2 'M5' badges on the rear (roundel and side designation) as well as a HUGE M5 decal on the front bonnet. |

Very nice. Thanks for sharing the pics. Incidentally, what's the color of your vehicle?

Just because you have the MSport package, that doesn't mean you should add more M badges on the car. I have the premium sound package, do you guys think I should pit one of these on my fender?

I have them on my Euro LCI MSport, I would'nt have added them, but as they are on there, I chose to leave them there.
They are subtle enough that noone really cares outside of F10 world, so do whatever makes you happy. Debagding M5/E55 etc in the UK is all the rage, lower down the spectrum does anyone really mind either way, judging by this thread they do!
