I always get more then 1000 kilometers. I never run it all the way down, so not sure about the accurate number.

Sucks now I'm doing 100% city and I'm only getting about 250 mpg.

The 550 is certainly a gas hog. I've only driven mine roughly 1,000 miles, but I seem to be averaging 18.3 mpg, 350 miles to a full tank. 70% highway perhaps. This is in contrast to my 2002 540, which averaged 22 mpg. 100 extra horse power = 20% reduction in fuel economy. Hard to explain in a town where the Prius rules.

But the ride justifies the guzzle I suppose.

Yeah, F11 520d

It's mostly highway driving, but also some driving in the city and up on the mountain. A typical trip is from within the city (Oslo) to a mountain somewhere.

My 535d rarely gets over 400 miles per tank, infact recently I have been lucky to get 360. 60/40 split of urban/motorway

Haven't driven it that close to empty, but probably between 240 and 280 miles. I get 13.8 mpg on average with >90% street driving.

I seem to be getting better gas mileage as I put more miles on the car. Is that the norm? It could just be a bit more highway driving but I got 305 miles on my first tank, 318 next, then 332 and now I'm already at 292 with more then 1/4 tank left.

535i 6speed with about 1200 miles on it

How do you 550 guys get 300+ miles with urban driving? I admit I don't have a light foot and my home is really uphill, so more gas goes into the engine when I go home, but I only get like 220-250 miles per tank on my 550xi. And I drive 60/40 highway/city.

When driving on a highway only, the best I ever got was a little bit under 370 miles to the tank.

I get between 400-450 miles per tank. I do very little motorway driving though, maybe 50-70 miles out of that.

I find milage to be best when I use the adaptive cruise control a lot. And that will disable sport+. Interesting though, I'll will check this out.

It so depends where you drive. I drove 342 miles on a quarter of a tank from the North of the UK to the South @ 56 mph in rush hour traffic. I got an average of 67.5 mpg. I did the same trip in reverse the next week and got 58.8...

I have had 840 miles from my 2013 520d but do believe given the right location I could do the thousand...at least I believe it but probably will never be able to prove it.

I used to go everywhere @ high speed but nowadays cruise around 65 listening to music and enjoying my journey.

Sam.

I get no more than 250 miles all city and that isn't being to heavy on the gas, I do have 20s though. Is this normal?

If yours is a M5 then that sounds about right. IF not then there is something wrong with the car
