Buying the 2011 535i tomorrow, but I need to know this first ..
so I been searching for my dream car 2011 535i for 2 months, I have alreayd found one that fits my butget, however, I notcied there wern't USB in the center arm glove box, only the AUX, does that mean I can't use my ipod? can I have bmw install that USB piece ? i uses ipod everyday and it would be a shame if i can't see what I am listening on the idrive, it does has the navigation tho, not sure if it has the other USB port in the front glove box.

You can play your iPod with the AUX port BUT you will not be able to see what you are playing on the iDrive screen nor will you be charging the iPod. With the center console USB port, on the other hand, you can play your iPod, see what you are playing on the iDrive screen, and charge the iPod. If using the iPod is that important to you (it is to me), you should get the iPod option. I don't know whether your BMW dealer can install the USB. The MSRP for factory-installed iPod/USB is about $400.
