Has anyone tried the Xenesis Xenon Match Super White Bulbs? Just got them in.

Here's the website: http://www.bimmian.com/XEN/10

Also, is there a detailed 'How to' on installing them anywhere in the forum??

To summarize what those bulbs are in one word? "Crap". They are extremely hot filament (non-hid bulbs) that are pretty strong and bright but they run an incredibly high risk of melting your housings and lenses. They DO NOT match your stock hids. Nothing will ever perfectly match the stock hids unless you retrofit the stock fish eye projectors and use the same hid bulbs that bmw uses. The closest you can get to stock would be a quality 4300k Hid kit and even then the color will be verrrrrrrrrrry (like 300-400k) slightly off from the stock hids due to the fish eye/projector.

Btw most people won't notice the difference in color temperature up to 800k.

What is everyone using to color correct the high beams, and fogs to the HID's. (Non HID conversion) Are the High beams a PITA to get to?

If you have Msport, then it's H11. For regular - non Msport, it's H8. 35watt is preferred

the error eliminator is the canbus harness (you will need this 'optional' harness when ordering)

Just a word of caution, bmw electronics is very sensitive to voltage irregularities and when it does detect such occurrence, there is a chance your ecu will shut down the lighting module and will light up the error message of "Light control module malfunction". Such that it is not a warranted item and this LCM module alone costs around $1,000.

speaking of personal experience in the past and that's why I don't play around with bmw's electronics gadgets anymore. I am sure thousands of people have done it and hopefully, you are one of the lucky ones.

If you are interested, here are some pics that I had switched over to halogen yellow fog lights.

It was weird, the other day I was looking at the reflection of my car on the car in front of me when I noticed that one of my fog bulbs burnt out. Crazy cause the car didn't emit a warning message.

Don't know if its just my car but I always thought these cars were all about the error messages.

I just purchased a set of 5500k H11 35w HID's from www.therestrofitsource.com for my 2012 535i Msport and I noticed that the only options were 4500k, 5500k and 6500k yet you guys are all referring to 5000k.
Did they change the kelvin temps of the kits they offer or is 5500k the kit you were all referring to as 5000k?
Can't wait to see them with the angel eyes. Hopefully they match closely!

Yes, it's a bit different now. Here's my post with the Morimoto 4500k HID's installed http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1260470. 4500k matches perfectly with the HID headlights, you should be fine with the 5500k matching the angel eyes. Post some pics after you have them installed

I would if they actually worked when I installed them. No clue why they won't turn on

Make sure your wiring is the same as mine in the pic. If it is then turn the connector that connects to the bulb the other way around. Mine woud not turn on either as I had the bulb connector the wrong way.

Yep that's exactly how the wiring is connected. I even bench tested them to make sure they work, and they do. So for some reason they are not getting power when plugged into the car. Pretty annoyed......and confused

So turns out the H11 plug on the Morimoto kit was backwards. I reversed it and the lights now work and look great. Match the angel eyes almost perfectly, and are slightly whiter than the stock HID headlights.

Isn't that what I said to do in my last post, "..then turn the connector that connects to the bulb the other way around"... now go take some pics and post them up so we can see the results

so i have the non msport so i will need the H8 but do i still need to order the
canbus harness? i'd hate to order it and find out it's only for the H11's.

I used to run between 5k and 3k HID fog's on my e39. I preferred the 3k as they gave a nice contrast between the stock 4300k HID's.

I always bought from bavtoys and never had any issues.

yeah but what about on the F10? seems like it has to be done right or else you'll get codes and what not

I'm running HID on my fog light for quite some time now. I love the look and how it adds and extra light spots to the sides. Actually I do have extra HID kit for sale left from my F30 which was used 1 month if someone is interested PM me.
