Almost new owner in the UK!

Evening chaps. Been following the forum for several weeks whilst waiting for delivery of my new 520d- thought it was time I introduced myself.

My order is:

520d M Sport
Sophisto Grey II
Black Dakota Leather
Aluminium Hexagon Trim
18" 320M Alloy Wheels
BMW Professional Multimedia
Sport Automatic Transmission

I had a budget restraint so unfortunately Xenon lights and full black panel display were sacrificed for the Auto and the media but I'm happy with my choices! I also went for the lower of the two service packages as it was a no brainier for £400 for 5 years or 60,000 miles.

Hopefully I will collect on Saturday as its in the country!

I am in that area fairly regularly in Bisley/Pirbright so perhaps i could detour your way at some point if you are able to help!? I cant PM at the moment but could you let me know what you would want to assist with a few things? I have zero coding experience/kit. Cheers.

I've worked hard to get where I am so yes, but it does eat into my disposable cash somewhat...

congrats, yes a nice car , you'll enjoy driving it.
Sophisto grey is very nice colour, particularly in the sun.

Gspannu helped code my car, (only made one change), nice guy - knows his stuff.

What were you thinking of coding out of interest?

I need to have a long look at the cheat sheet to work out exactly what i want but for a start i would want to change the DRL settings for the halogens and possibly DVDinMotion. Anything you can recommend?

re coding
The setting of remembering last setitng for autostop start seems to be apopular choice! that would certianly be my next choice.
Give BMW NA have just said to dealers they can switch this off for users it might be worth asking for this - this position might have changed for BMW UK as well - who knows you have nothing to lose by asking. Fialing that , code it your self! (assuming you want to do that)
##see otehr threads here on teh F10 and the F30 forums.

Other coding is dependant upon the hardware you have in your car

the power and torque display is another popular one.

I've been looking around and have a number of ideas but i think i need to get the car on saturday, drive for a week to see what i want to change! The last setting for auto start stop will probably be one as well.
