535i removing top speed limiter

Guys,

Does anyone know how I can remove or adjust my top speed governor on my non M sport 2012 535i. I got the chance the other day to drive it on a track and it stopped accelerating at 130 mph. I can't believe BMW would limit a 535 to 130mph. I can understand 155 or 150 but not 130mph. I have Msport rims and tires on it.

Are there any places or mods that I can do to get it to 150mph at least ?

Thanks

Oops, misread your post. You must have only premium package.
I know burger tuning offered a speed limiter delete for the N54's not too sure if that will work on our cars or not. But you can reach out to Mike or Terry and find out.

Great thanks, I wrote Terry an email and I waiting to hear back...There is something about the 535 specially that is preventing a lot of tuning companies from offering it. I can't find one place that even removes it on the 535. The 550 yes but not the 535 for some reason

but if your car is limited to 130 mph, isn't that mean you have some technichal problem since F10 535i standard top speed limit is 155 mph?

No, he doesn't have the sport package on the car. Non sport cars are limited to 130, sport packages bump it up to 155

Correct I have a regular 535i non M sport and no sports package. When I bought the car I never dreamed BMW would limit the car at 130mph. 150-155 seems reasonable but 130 is weak. Anyway I did find a tuning place that would remove it but it was 695.00 dollars and it was part of their stage 1 tune. I really don't want to mess with the turbo boost etc. But they were going to charge me the same price even if I didn't have them do the complete tune.

Is it a reputable tuner? If they know what they are doing, upping the boost reasonably shouldn't compromise your engine.

Here is a link to the tuner that removes the top speed limiter as part of their tuning package.

I'm not sure if they are good or not. I have never gotten a car tuned before :-)

OE is a great tune. They tuned my E60 535, last I heard from them they were having issues with the F10 535's. That is great news to hear they are now able to bypass the issues they had previously and get some power.

But a gain of only 40hp is a painfully low power gain.

Here in Brazil its deferent, all F10 models including the M sport package(337)are limited to 250 kph ( =155mph).
Only with option (7ME) M driver's Package you get the speed limit increased to 305kph (=190mph)
When ordering this option, the increased top speed is not available until the running-in inspection has been completed and the car has covered 2000 km.

That is because the United States is getting over run by Liberals that are constantly trying to regulate everything. Brazil sounds great.
