WTS: M6 exhaust

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Well i got in a little over my head on this one. I have a non-M sport 535 and i can't find a body shop willing to trim the bumper, relocate the Collison sensor and hang the exhaust.

My loss will hopefully be someone's gain, after listening to the YouTube clip of Lacsters 535 i really wish i could have pulled this off.
Asking around $500 plus shipping to wherever you are. Thanks.

Jumping in for the OP here, but they are E63 M6 mufflers.

Most competent muffler shop can do this. Don't go to a body shop. Where are you located?

Yeah I'm pretty depressed about it. It's the E63.
I'm in San Antonio. They said "it would look like crap" if they trimmed the bumper and that there was some sensor thing on the divers side that they were worried about. Any suggestions are welcome because it still love to try it on my 5.
Thanks!

Or you can convert to an Msport rear bumper with an m5 diffuser..there's plenty of replica bumpers out there for a good price..i think it may be worth a shot

He actually doesn't need an M5 diffuser. An MSport bumper with the stock 550 diffuser will work. These mufflers have been modified to fit in the same location as the stock mufflers. I am familiar with this setup. I actually bought these a few weeks back, but then the deal fell thru as the seller did the deal but then wanted more money after realizing how much it was to ship them to me.

I did this mod to my 535 msport and was an easy change. Just get a 550 diffuser which clicks in replacement.

Will work if you have an M sport bumper and 550i facia:

I KNOW these mufflers. They're the exact ones I had on my 2012 M Sport 550i last year. They were deep and loud but too much for my senior ears so I flipped them. They seem to work better on the 535i though (yes...hear Lacaster's sound clip if you can find it), maybe its the firing order of the engine (6 vs V8) or just the difference in engine size.
Nevertheless, someone with an M Sport (535i or 550i) will find the mufflers fit right up with just a connection sleeve (done by any good muffler shop) AND a 550i M Sport rear facia (cover) if they already don't have one...There about $100 at the dealer. Pic below shows how pipes sit in the M Sport facia. Sorry, no longer have sound clip.
