Angel eyes light up question
Anyone know why when you press the unlock button on your key, sometimes the angel eyes light up, but sometimes it doesn't light up... I want it to light up all the time...
Also, I have "Welcome lights" in the iDrive settings always enabled. What is this supposed to do? Should it light up the angel eyes only or the headlights as well? |

Quote:
Put your headlight on A (auto). When you unlock your car DRL(angel eyes) should light up and if its dark out then both DRL and headlight will light up. |

If Your Lights are Set to Auto or ON position when unlocking the Angel Eyes and Rear Lights come on... However I've noticed on my X5 that they only come on at night but during the Day the Signal just Flashes...

Yup...seems like the DRL's light up when in AUTO and when unlock is pressed on the key.
Thanks.. Why does the F10's rear lights come on when driving around with DRL's switched on? Shouldn't it just be the front Angel eyes switched on? Any way I can switch the rears off or does coding need to be done...? |

Here in Canada, DRLs are mandatory on all cars and can't be turned off.
The rears are never on when just the DRLs are on. So they must be set or 'coded' at the factory. My retired 08 E60 had both front DRLs and the rears on all the time. There are many arguments over the pros and cons of the rears on during the day. I liked the rears on but there is really no practical use for them.
