Umnitza said that the aftermarket ones are plug and play but at 1600 bucks that's kind of a hard pill to swallow right now with no reviews on the lights. They were going to give me 50% off on installation if I became the Guinea pig for the lights.

Maybe later with more info. I'm looking to replace my e36 sedan that is dying with possibly a e34 wagon.. looking at one for 2k so I can't shell out for these yet...

What's so hard to install the headlight if the LED kit is a plug and play? To change out the head light probably take me no more than 40min.

Its not hard. Removing and installing Headlights are easy. They don't know if the headlights require coding or not. They don't do the coding and finding a coder in my area is very difficult.

Don't want to get stuck with cool looking headlights that don't work right or lights up my dash like a X-mas tree!

Just found this thread, they look fantastic. Did these end up fitting and working in the end? How easy was the retrofit??

The Umnitza ones are for halogen replacements only, so useless for me. I have Xenon adaptive lights. Then there's the fact that it's Umnitza, and I hate those guys.
