Keep M5 diffuser matte black or color match the car?

UPDATE 2016-04-10 I got my car back from the body shop. Go down for pictures.

Hello guys,

Long story short my BMW dealership damaged my rear bumper and M5 diffuser and are willing to send it to the body shop free of charge.

I have an M5 diffuser I painted myself with plastidip and I am wondering in which color I should get the diffuser painted this time:
  1. Matte black
  2. Gloss black
  3. Color matched with the car

The said damage

My car with Matte black diffuser

M5 for reference

+1 with the color match! How the hell did they damage your bumper?

Love the contrast against light colored F10's, so I vote gloss black or a dark gray like the stock m sport diffuser.

I vote gloss black, both for the contrast and to match the shadowline trim

Color match it at their expense and you can plastidip it matte or gloss black whenever you feel

maybe it was a blessing in disguise as upon closer look of your plastidip diffuser it looks pretty worn or is that how platidip looks? like earlier, color matched but have them paint the middle gloss black!

This is not how plastidip look when clean, it was very dirty and needed some black trim cleaner job...
I would say it is difficult to keep it clean like many matte textured surface...

I do not know how they damaged the bumper, I realized when I was home... I went back to the dealership and told my story to the service manager. He said he was not aware but trusted my story and agree for the paint job...

I am 99% sure this was done at the dealership since I washed my car Sunday, went to the office Monday but park my car where no body could have hit the backend and after that my car stayed in my garage until the dealership appointment... It even seems like someone have put paint to cover-up the damage ....

I like this idea, that way I would be able to see in person if I prefer color matched and dip it if I change my mind...

The only problem is I am not sure the "glossifier" works well if I decide to go gloss black in the end.

I figured that Jay! Well, with it being actually painted the details will be more pronounced!

Rustoleum has a new spray product exactly like plastidip but from my experience, works better. Much smoother finish and product sprays great so it doesn't build up.

They have a Rustoleum glossifier as well, and it works better than the crappy plastidip glossifier version

Update: My car is currently at the bodyshop and I decided to put the diffuser color match to the car. If ever I change my mind I will use plastidip...

I also decided to redo my front bumper since winters have been hard on it and at the same time they will shave/delete my orange reflectors. My xdrive badge are also gone so this should clean-up the side angle of the car.

Should have my car back for the weekend.

Update.

I got my car back from bodyshop. They completely repainted the rear bumper, diffuser, front bumper with orange reflector delete. I have also removed the xdrive badge on the side.

I am very happy with the quality of the work, picture speak for themselves.
