What kind of spare tire do I need ?
I finally decided to take the plunge and get new non-runflat tires . I'm going with the continentals DWS . My question is what type of spare do I need and where can I buy one
I currently have a 550Xi M sport with stock 19 inch wheels |

For the F10 where the batteries sit in the spare wheel place, the factory solution is called "Compact spare-wheel system": http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...49&hg=36&fg=95

I know it was a few months back, but I am posting for others who might need one
Do take a look at: http://www.bimmerzone.com/BMW_Perfor...T-F10-KIT.html |

Like you, I'm dumping my run flats in the very near future.
In lieu of a spare tire kit (and all the trunk space it takes up), I picked up a BMW M Mobility Kit which is much more compact and tucks neatly into the storage pocket beneath the trunk mat. It's a different approach to solving the flat tire dilemma (air compressor & tire sealant) that may not be of assistance if your blowout includes moderate to severe wheel damage, but nonetheless, is an option to consider if trunk space is an important concern for you... Here's a link to where I got mine: http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Site...Kit/ES2728381/
