Here is the sound clips of my resonator delete with drilled holes before the mufflers and butterfly valves open. sounds good and no drone at all. Cost less than $200.

it sounds like mine without the hole drilled in the exhaust pipe.

If you're happy with it, that's what matters. It was still too "stock" sounding for me, had to go aftermarket.

I just had mine done for $200. I notice I hear a lot more of the turbo's spooling up now? Any else notice this too? Otherwise noise wise it's almost like I get some more engine noise at higher RPM (which I like).

add badblack's intakes and it will take the sound up a coupe notches on the turbo sounds. loved them even before the exhaust upgrade.

I concur...love my intakes! They compliment the exhaust perfectly.

Did you get the full cold air intake system or the $350 ones?

Is the noise that different?

How hard was the install?

I'm sure I could find answers to these questions easily, but wanted to ask someone live.

I got the complete N63intakes.com intakes. The sound isn't noticeable at all inside the car. On startup, they really "suck" and you hear the turbos spool and blow off during high rpm shifts or engine revs.

I did the install myself, took a little over 2 hours mainly because I didn't know what I was doing. The instructions are clear but the engine bay is tight. Serge was available via FB chat and he walked me through the whole thing. I did the driver's side first, took well over an hour but the passenger's side was about 30 minutes once I'd figured it out.

Tempting...very tempting. Thanks for the info I'm tryna decide if I want to go through with the mod myself... prob would stick with just the drop in filter for now though (and would remove the carbon filter). The red I'm seeing under your grill in your profile picture, is that from the cold air intake upgrade you did/do you think I'd see it if I went for the cheaper route?
