BMW Sophisto Gray 550i stolen from BMW NJ prep center

The $90,000 sedan was driven off early on March 13 from the BMW Port Jersey preparation center in Jersey City. It was supposed to go on display at the New York International Auto Show.

At least three thieves broke into the lot just after 2 a.m. and drove off in the Sophisto, a 535xi and a 650i, sources said.

They returned Monday night and swiped a 750 LXI. On Wednesday night, the gang is believed to have swiped at least one Beemer from a company facility in Elizabeth.

"We . . . provided all the information to the authorities," a BMW spokesman said.

A 550i starts here at > 130,000 US$ (94,000 euros)

Yes, but you can get it up to $80,000 (U.S.) if you're not careful with the options.

It's funny that BMW could in all its power identify and disable any stolen car, if it is plugged into their system anywhere in the world, but they should choose not to pursue this option.

good luck with that 59,700 price ... anyone who buys a 550i will be much higher then that or dont bother.
