6WA Instrument Cluster

Hi, I am interested in doing this retrofit. I have a 2011 535i xDrive with 70k miles without HUD. Are you sure this will work for my car? All the threads that I have seen thus far indicate that there are a lot of complications.

Yes it will work, that is the exact year i had, mine had HUD but this will fit either or, the provision is there for it, not exclusive for it.

Here's the thread where i got all the answers i needed when doing it on mine.

The basics of it is: you'll need coding help for sure.

You'll need a R270 eeprom programmer (about $80 on ebay) and that's pretty much it.

Wow, that's a 42-pages long thread. Guess I better start reading. Also, I have a guy who can do the coding for me, so that's not a problem. Don't know if he also does R270 eeprom programming.
