Quad exhaust question

I'm thinking of getting a vorsteiner exhaust for my f10 535i Xdrive, and I wanted to know if I can just purchase a mtech diffuser or if I'm going to be needing to purchase the whole mtech bumper in order to use their diffuser? People with a similar quad exhaust setup, what did you do? Thanks.

If you are not already on m sport model, you can't install the mtech diffusor.

To accommodate quad exhaust, you can either cut the bumper to make the openings bigger or switch the bumper to the mtech bumper and get the mtech 550 diffusor.

If your car is Msport. All you need is the 550 M sport rear diffuser. It can be had for around $100 shipped from some online BMW dealers.

I did the same with my 535i with quad exhaust. Its very simple to change. There are a few clips underneath and it snaps out/in

Here is mine

We're actually creating an exhaust system currently and the possibilities are endless with what you can do. We've had a client who gave us free will and everything from numerous tip variations on the different diffusers and bumpers can be achieved...just need to find out what you want.

The 550 diffuser will be the best option for you as it's the simplest and cheapest way to get the quad tip.

It is a custom one-off exhaust from Magnaflow.

Where in CT are you located?

550i diffuser

Do you know where I can get this 550i diffuser for around the $100 price you mentioned? Any online BMW dealer shop link would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks Juiced46

Yeah, every google search I did was showing this part at like $450 and up! So just to make sure, a bumper cover, is the same thing as a diffuser?

Would it be too much to point me in the right direction for the link to the magnaflow exhaust you used?

THANK YOU AGAIN SO MUCH FOR BEING SO HELPFUL TO US ALL!

Trust me that is the correct part. I work for BMW

I got mine for about $75 with my discount from the dealer I work for.

If you click this link it will show the part diagram. Its #9 in the pic. Although in the pic it only shows 1 cutout, it is for sure for a 550i the pic is wrong

http://www.getbmwparts.com/parts/201...agramCallOut=9

And in this link you can also see, it says with M trim and for a 550

The magnaflow exhaust I have is not for sale by magnaflow. This is the only one in existence. Magnaflow took their standard single tip per side exhaust and modified it to be a quad tip setup.

Rims/Springs

Hi Juiced, can I ask where you got your rims from and what kind they are?

Do the springs make a difference?

Thanks for sending me to burger tuning for the wheel spacers! They are great!!!!

So is it the basic magna kit with quad tips added?

can we just weld quad tips to stock muffler with the 550 diffuser or will they stick out too far

I dont want to go louder but just want the look

My wheels are 20x9 and 20x10.5 Forgestar F14s. I bought them used from a member on here.

The springs will lower it some and make a decent difference in handling. I did it basically for the looks.

The exhaust on my car was made in house at Magnaflows facility. Its not just their standard kit with quad tips. Its a one off custom setup. Its the only one in existance.

You can just weld quad tips to the stock mufflers and give it a very nice clean look that will not stick out to far. There are tons of threads on here where people do that.

The magnaflow kit on my car is actually very quiet.

Does anyone know how loud is the vorsteiner exhaust on the f10 535? If anyone can post videos of it inside the cabin would be greatly appreciated. I'm contemplating it right now, I don't want it to be obnoxiously loud.

Nice set up all around. Mad props. I have the same color and rear spoiler. I am thinking about the exhaust. It's a little extra special when it's the only one out there !

Did you have to do any further cutting/trimming of the 550i m-sport diffuser you have on there? If you could let me know. Thank you!

Here's an outside clip of the Vorsteiner on my car. I do admit that there is some interior drone at around 2k RPM. Not irritating but definitely noticeable.
