How to remove the wood trim
1st of all let me tel you its not a very simple job.. taking out the wood trim is easy but unplugging the connectors is a very tuff job.. because the wires are very delicate. ..so you have to be very very careful
just follow these steps

Man, that looks like a straight up professional job. Going to try mine in a couple weeks. I've got the black on black interior and want to break it up with some dark grey carbon fiber vinyl. The console pull info is priceless. Thanks

by disconnecting the items like idrive and all the other center console components will this cause n e errors. or should you let the ecu go to sleep before unplugging n e thing?

I've had my console apart for a couple retrofit problems and never had any errors/faults.
