My car vibrates when I brake normal speed or high speed, so I took it to service and told them that I have this problem, they said we have to test drive the car. I said ok one of the mechanics drive the car with me in it. And he said the vibration on the break paddle and steering wheel comes from the break calipers????? I said how is that possible. He said you need new calipers, so I said ok so change them. He's respond was ooo no we can't because you have painted your calipers so I said to him what the F you talking about what does the paint have to do anything with this issue. He said it's the warranty we have to send the calipers to BMW so they can see what the problem is and once they see that you painted them they will not change them. How can brake calipers make the vibration?? I'm just confused with these stupid mechanics at BMW. What you guys think.

They said it's not the rotors or brakes. They told me it's the calipers. I have never Hurd that calipers could be a problem on a new car. So now I have to remove the paint from my calipers and send it back and see what they say. Such a BS thing.

It is possible that something was not tightened correctly during reassembly (if you took the calipers off the car to paint them). Try retracing your steps first and foremost and ensure that everything is snug from the caliper mounting bracket to the guide pins to the wheel lugs. If worse comes to worse then paint the calipers silver and bring the car to another dealership. Luckily for me, my SA here in NY is cool and 100% upfront. If its something that can be worked around he will try his best to accommodate.

I never took the calipers of. They said that the calipers have to expand when they get hot and he said yours prob don't.

Yes but I painted my calipers 12 month ago.
