No, I reached out to just carid (the vendor) and they haven't been too helpful. Should I directly reach out to AG? Honestly, I've almost given up at this point.

For the record, I think VMR is onto something because my local rim expert was telling me just a few days ago that there is a direct correlation between rim weight and strength. This lends credence to the proposition that a lighter wheel will need to be made up of this fortified aluminium to match the strength of the heavier wheel which is made of just regular aluminium.
You answered your own question. The forged metal is stronger allowing for a design using less material while keeping the same strength as a cast wheel...if designed correctly. He is saying just because its forged doesnt mean its stronger. I can design a 5lb. One spoke forged wheel but the wheel wont be stronger than any crappy cast wheel on the market just because its forged.

I have contacted AG directly and they weren't helpful at all. When I explained the bending and pitting issues they actually tried to blame me.

I will NEVER buy a set of AG again or support this company. They make nice looking wheels... but they suck in quality.

This is good as I was actually looking at AG wheels. This thread makes me worry about that...

Yeah, I don't know what to tell you. 3 out of 4 wheels busted in less than a year seems a little too much to me. I live in the bay area too so it's not like I do any kind off road driving.

BTW, I got the Niche Targa (anthracite) and so far things are looking good. It's been only a month or so but keeping my fingers crossed.

BTW, for the record, I like the Targs more than the m510 in terms of how they look.

hahaha. Me too. This one awhile back on my e60. Bent 3 wheels on 3 different occasions. 2 were bad to cause my tires to deflate. Informally was told by AG that I was my fault and I needed to learn how to drive

Never again.

On my Mercededs that followed, I had the TSW Nurburgrings. Same streets and same potholes I drove the AG M310's on. When I did hit a pothole and got a big thud, they never bent on me. The did get rashed up because of said potholes, but I was able to cover them up with a little touch up paint. Was far happier with the TSW rotary forged wheel.

I'm glad this thread came back up recently.
I too was seriously looking into the AG designs; primarily the M310 or M590.
Guess not so much now.
