Coilovers installed on my Xdrive, we'll sort of
So I got tired of being told coils aren't available for our cars, bit the bullet and bought a used set of 2wd off this forum.
Short story long at least the rear fits. Front no dice unless I was willing to cut up the factory struts to try and Mcguyver something. So I cut a full cool off the front H&R springs and put the coilovers in the back. It pretty low. Driving is bumpy but seems okay. The car is being wrapped this week or next and my wheels are out for powder coating. I'll post up good pix when I have it all done. Here it is now but really dirty with the winter wheels on it. |

Did u say u cut ur front H&R springs? Yikes!!
I would just buy the right lowering springs for the car as modifying Coilovers or springs can affect ur car handling & be dangerous. |

Props for taking the initiative to figure it all out. I'm with the other guys though be careful with that setup especially with the front struts... hopefully the bump stop is still in place or blown struts are in the near future.
