RaceChip?

Looks interesting, we have Berger and RaceChip form the looks of it. Anyone do any dyno testing yet or 1/4 miles with the RaceChip? Loks like its pretty simple to install.

Looking for the 550 performance in particular. Picking my 550 X-Drive up this weekend!

There is very little info on Racechip for the F10s. I personally do not know a single person that is running it. I however know multiple people that are running BMS N55 or N63. Everyone that runs BMS is happy with the output and ease of installation/uninstallation.

I personally ordered a BMS N63 Stage 1 a few days ago. If you have a N55, you have a few different options but for the N63, your only real options are BMS or Dinan.

I know couple people who were interested in it
Did not hear back from them
I would go with BMS, its the most proven tune out there

Any clue what the BMS stage 1 will run for a 1/4 mile time in an otherwise stock X-Drive 550?

Also, will it run for many years in a 500 miles per week daily driven vehicle if one drives decent for the most part? Shouldn't be too deep into the boost at all if driven decent right?

Not sure what the second question is.
But if you are asking if it is safe, yes it is very safe.
It also has safety features which will lower boost and kick you back to stock,if it feels that you are running too aggressive.

FWIW, I'm running it on my 528xi. My butt dyno says it's working, but that's all I can say.

BMS all the way. Had it in my F10 for 2 years / 20k miles. No issues.
Also had it in my F15 since the first week and it has been 8 months strong.
Price and power gain from BMS is the best in the market. And they are proven by many many users in N20, N55, N63 motor types. Even in Mini family.

On a motorway, my 528xi with Racechip is quicker than EU-specs 530xd (same as the US-specs 535xd) from the start up to the 260 km/h it is doing, and on the distance it reaches this maximum speed (speedometer "closed"), the 530d is ca. 1 km behind me. And nobody at Racechip GmbH treats me like a second-category customer the way Terry of BMS did when I was inquiring about his toy. How about that?

Funny that you mentioned that. A friend bought RaceChip and never got a straight answer and correct installation instruction from the US reseller and RaceChip USA.
One of the sensor got damaged due to the unclear instruction and a possible wrong product for the car, but they were playing finger pointing instead of fixing the issue.
They gave N55 instruction for N63tu engine.

In Europe RaceChip is very popular by users of BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Vw and other European marks. In particular with the Diesel engines, petrol is less popular here than diesel. They are winning several tests done by several well recognized German auto magazines. Maybe not the best overall but seems lie good value for money. I have used a RC for. X3 20d F25 for around 50000 km, and it worked perfect. I had some dialogue back and forth with RC Germany about adjustments, and they gave excellent service - always responded back (email) within half a day. Maybe better go direct to Germany rather than through a reseller. Can only recommend them
