First Oil Change. Remove DVDinMotion?

Bringing my F10 in for her first oil change next weekend. I have the DVDinMotion mod. I know it can void the warranty but should I remove it before I bring it in? Any chance the Dealer will catch it during a standard oil change?

I don't think so. Dealers don't check those stuff if you only need an oil change.

No issues. They even had to reset the rear brakes in the computer bc it was incorrectly reading they had to be replaced. They didn't say a word.

Won't void your warranty. Just your liability insurance.

It won't void anything unless they can prove you changing a setting led to a key component failing.

Your insurance company won't void your liability coverage, and that is complete misinformation. At most, should you be involved into an accident, and should the other side argue you were liable for punitive damages (above your liability coverage), you would be responsible for it.

Either way, they can't void your coverage for doing dumb stuff... That's exactly what the insurance is there for...

Example: they can't void your insurance for DUI (which is arguably more reckless than driving while watching a movie), so they still have to cover you and defend up to the limits of your policy... But you'll be responsible for anything beyond that...

Thanks for the info, looks like I was worried for nothing. I've been hesitant to do the JB chip. What do you think of how the dealership would view that for non-engine related issues?

if you are this paranoid about dvdinmotion, how do you think your anxiety will hold up with a tune?

in all seriousness, it varies from dealership to dealership, depends partially on how you are (douchebag or not) and how the SA is (douchebag or not)...
