Dinan drop on my 550

I'm loving it! "Grown Ass Man" drop is what I'm calling it. Not to low but noticeable. It's the way the car should have have been set OEM. No more floaty ride in Normal mode. I no longer have the need to switch to Sport mode every time I jump in the car.
Just my 2 cents.
Forgive the pics. Shot with my iPhone.

AMAZING how is the ride compared to oem and aren't they 30mm drop ? Where did you get the springs from and did you get the bumpstops they require ?

Rides nicely and its only a 1/2 inch drop (approx 12mm) so more like what BMW would offer in a true sport suspension back in the day. Ordered it from Budds bmw here in Toronto. They are the official Dinan dealer here in Canada.
Bump stops are in also.

What did installation run? I got a quote on a set of these and installation seemed very high. I've never changed the springs on a BMW before though so my baseline may be off.

looks great, looks more than 1/2 inch !

all you need is a spring compressor, some auto part stores rent them out.
taking the struts out isnt hard, the front is easy as heck, but the rear from what I hear is a pain to get to the top nuts.

Top nuts on the rear is easy. the tricky part was getting the shock out (removed the rear steering link arm to make *******, and lowering the arm to connect the lower shock bolt back.
Jut remember the studs on the shock mounts are not a perfect triangle shape. take note of the direction you pull the shock out.

Ehhh... Yep. Sounds like I'll be paying for an install. Just don't wanna put someone else's kid through college when I do.

Nice, its a different colour. Love it at night and in the sunlights. Just looks blah on a cloudy day. No sparkles.

So what's the width and offset of your wheels?

They are not re-branded springs. We do use Eibach helper springs on occasion on some of the newer coil-over M suspensions but the springs themselves have been produced by the same local vendor for us to our specifications for nearly 25 years.
