Cool Maybe there is a fix to the hesitation issue - F10 SIB

Have your dealer look at Bulletin =SI B 12 09 11. It refers to the hesitation issue.

My car was programmed yesterday so I don't know if it is fixed yet.

The service order said varified I level of vehicle E F010-10-03-504. Programmed and encoded complete vehicle to bring to current I-level. Continued vehicle test and quick deleted fault memo RY. Reset RDC. Road tested and varified repair.

I left the car overnight and they had it ready the next day. They also did the annual oil change.

I asked my dealer about this since I read it in the other forum, but apparently SI bulletin number was not in their system. Maybe Japanese dealers don't get latest SI bulletins? =( Since all it seems to be is coding the car to latest integration I'm gonna ask them again next time I drop by.

I have had the car back a week now and it seems to be fixed, no more jerks or hesitations.

If it does go back to it's old ways I will post it.

Good news! Has it made the car more responsive to kick downs while cruising as well?

Let's hope they didn't only reset the adaptation to the throttle because if that is the case, then there could be a possibility that the hesitation problem has not been addressed completely.

Hope your car is really fixed

Marcielago---The dealer said that they must do a complete update of the entire software not just a portion of it. I have noticed other minor changes so I think he was right.

The 3 things this software update fixed for my xdrive are:

1. Jerky gear changes, felt every single gear change... no more

2. Brakes holding on for a second or more after being released. For the longest time the dealer told me this was BMW's NEW BRAKE ASSIT feature... I was not convinced. It is gone after the software update. Auto Hold feature works more smoothly now as well.

3. Feel more torque now, before it felt like the engine was working really hard to move all the weight... now it feels like it has adequate power. This is all based on my "butt dyno". But this has been confirmed on some other forums.

All this stuff you guys have listed here makes me doubt my purchase... How can a new 70k car by such a great brand have some holding brakes or inadequate power (due to software) issues. Not to mention rough shifts and jerks. I am getting terrified what mine will behave like. Felt awesome during the test drives. I should stop reading this forum, I guess, as a lot of F10 owners here seem to be very happy with no corrections?
