Coded my DRL's to change to halos and got them brighter

For anyone who has the halogen package, there is some hope.

Although they are not as bright as the xenon equipped lights, its better than before.

I did not order my car. I purchased it from the dealers inventory. From what the dealer told me, xenons are not standard on the 528. the 535 and 550's have standard xenons

Must be 2011, as they were not standard in 2011, only 2012+

Ok, so even if the Xenons were not standard, the LED angel eyes were. How did you get them to be so bright (the first pic shows how they usually look, the second pic looks very bright)? Is that even legal?

follow the instructions. You need some electrical/programming background to understand the procedures.

I do this for a living (not for BMW )

But, if like mine (in the UK) you don't have Xenons the day light running lights mean that your headlamps are on as well as the halos which ruins the effect.

As far as I'm concerned the DLR should mean that the halos are on and then the auto setting turns on the headlights when it's dark. As I understand it that's how it works if you've got Xenons, why not for standard?

Just to revive his thread, has anybody heard if this coding also turns off the headlights for the DRL's so that just the brighter angels glow on the halogen package?

are you sure? You have switched on the drl's in the idrive? Not just put the sidelights on? I've seen halogen f10s with just the halos....
