hi f10 fam,

i was just about to purchase a rear diffuser, was either going to paint it/ cf wrap or plasti dipping

i have a 16 535m with comfort access ( aka the kick by the exhaust area), i was reading about taking off the oem diffuser, does it really need a relocation? im technically just replacing a part with similar size part

help?

I think it's just the M5 diffuser that needs an additional part, and that's because it needs special fitting.

I just installed the CF diffuser below and my comfort access kick to open still works fine.

thanks, was it as simple as stated? 5-6 clips only?

If you're lucky and you get a diffuser with perfect fitment, yes. It clips right in. However, a lot of folks aren't so lucky (myself included) and you need to do something similar to the video below where you'll need to drill small screws inside the bumper to keep the tabs from popping out:

I recently installed a replica M performance diffuser on my 535d (w/ comfort access & msport), and the new diffuser did not disrupt the comfort access function at all.

The install is very easy if the clips line up correctly, just peel off the old one and snap in the new one. Takes under 5 mins

just looked at that diffuser and i will say those fins are going to be a beotch to wrap if you're looking for a clean look without cuts and with one continuous piece

No problem, myself and one other member bought the replica from a member here. He has since been banned because I think he was a business selling in the owners marketplace. The diffuser had a few small issues which we both talk about in the thread below, and you can see pictures:

My photos were taken before I secured the diffuser properly, but once I worked on it a bit I'm good with the results given I only payed $150 shipped. Read the other members review for an overview of the issues. If you end up wanting the diffuser, the seller has an instagram under kpnj_motorsports and can probably help you. I figure Ill keep it unless something goes wrong, I wasnt interested in spending $500 for the OEM one given its a plastic piece that sits so low on the car

thats one of my fear as well lol probably going to plasti dip it


thanks guys for the input! this vendor agreed to sell to a fairly cheap price to me so i hope the fitment is going to be good !
